Abby (our three year old) and I sat on the beach at Venice, the waves washing over our legs.  To our left planes took off from LAX.  The smaller 737's hooked around and headed east.  As Abby laughed at the waves I watched a Singapore Airlines 777 slowly drift off to the north west.  Mentally, I took that flight weeks ago.

I am nervous, much less than my family though. We are trading the easy for the difficult, known for the unknown.  I know that they will love or hate India in spite of my efforts to have them love it as I do.   We will start finding out in a few weeks.
